The Sant Sadurní Tourism Office has received the Biosphere 2019 Certificate for its commitment to guarantee the quality and sustainability of tourist services.
The distinction is granted by the Diputació de Barcelona, the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona and the Institute of Responsible Tourism. This recognition aims to extend the culture of tourism sustainability to tourism companies and services, and the Consorci de Promoció Turística del Penedčs coordinates its development within the territory.
The Biosphere certification guarantees an adequate long-term balance between the economic, socio-cultural and environmental dimensions of a destination, reporting significant benefits for the Tourism Office itself, society and the environment.
